The Friends of Court Hey Park are a group formed by local residents to promote, conserve and help develop this beautiful park on the border of Liverpool and Knowsley. We meet up to discuss matters relating to the park every first Monday of the month at 1.30pm in our meeting room in the stable block of the National Wildflower Centre.
We help organise events and recreational activities throughout the year with Knowsley Council and the National Wildflower Centre. The Friends are also compiling and maintaining historical records relating to the park and the experiences of local people and make this information available through publications, historical displays and talks, DVDs, YouTube and this internet site.
We are always working to encourage more people to use the park and to raise local awareness of the park’s heritage and health value.
The Friends are also working closely with all partners involved with the National Wildflower Centre, Knowsley Council, Knowsley Green Space Rangers and the local community.
In 2007 we worked with Knowsley Council to manage an archaeological excavation in court hey park to discover the remains of the Gladstone family mansion website.
